Jets MVB's Landicho to return to USA Volleyball's Boys Holiday Camp

Miramar MVB head coach John Landicho has again been selected to the staff for USA Volleyball's Boys Holiday Camp, Dec. 26-30. Landicho will work with the Select age group at the camp, led by Stanford MVB associate head coach Ken Shibuya and held at nearby Epic Volleyball Club in Poway. The camp features 89 of the top 14 & 15 year old male players in the USA, determined by their rankings within USAV's nationwide evaluations and camps. The Select camp is run in conjunction with the Boys Youth Holiday Camp, which features 40 of the top 16 & 17-year old boys in the nation. The camps are part of USAV's High Performance program, which helps identify & train future National Team members; current USA Men's National Team members & 2016 Olympic bronze medalists Micah Christenson and Aaron Russell were participants at the 2009 Holiday Camp (Coach Landicho's first Holiday Camp assignment).

The appointment continues Landicho's long association with USA Volleyball, dating back to 1996. Most recently, Landicho served as associate head coach of the Boys Future Select National Invitational Training Program at the US Olympic Training Center, in July. Landicho will lead the Jets MVB program into its third season immediately after the Holiday Camp, when players report for training on January 3, 2017.
