Championship Coach Brooke Callahan Set to Lead Women's Volleyball
We are proud to welcome Brooke Callahan as the new Head Coach of the Women's Indoor and Beach Volleyball Programs.
Callahan brings a wealth of experience and a championship pedigree to the Jets. She most recently served as the Head Women's Indoor Volleyball Coach at Grossmont College, where she led the Griffins to an impressive 115-24 overall record. Under her leadership, Grossmont won back-to-back undefeated PCAC championships (2022 and 2023), made four consecutive CCCAA State Championship appearances, and saw Callahan earn PCAC Coach of the Year honors in 2022 and 2023.
In addition to her indoor success, Callahan was a key part of Grossmont's beach volleyball dominance, serving as the Assistant Coach from 2019 to 2023. During that time, the Griffins captured CCCAA Team and Pairs State Championship titles in both 2019 and 2023. She also served as Head Coach of the Grossmont Men's Volleyball Program from 2021 to 2024 and continues to coach elite athletes through 692 West Beach Volleyball.
Callahan is a former student-athlete who began her collegiate playing career at Grossmont, competing in both indoor and beach volleyball. She went on to play at the Division I level at UC Riverside, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. She later completed her Master's Degree in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University.
Miramar Athletics is excited to bring on a coach with Callahan's proven track record and versatility. Her dual role as Head Coach of both indoor and beach volleyball will strengthen the Jets' volleyball programs and provide a unified vision for student-athlete development on the court and in the sand.
Welcome to the Jet family, Coach Callahan!
