Q & A with Head Coach Lucy Gates

Q: What are you most looking forward to with this new season?

This is my first season at Miramar College, so I am just looking forward to having a competitive season, starting new traditions, and having fun!

Q: How have the preparations and practices been going?

We have been training hard at practice, while still leaving room for fun team activities. We have a committed group of athletes a part of our program this year, who are hungry to get after it in the pool at practice.

Q: How do you feel about the team and their talent/skills as a whole?

We have a strong team this year, with excellent captain leadership. Every athlete has a role on the team and adds value to our strength as a whole. Q: What is your team goal for the season? Our team goal is to continue progressing and growing with every game we play.

Q: What do you love most about coaching at Miramar?

I love the support and community of coaches and athletic staff at Miramar. It's a tight-knit department where everyone can get to know everyone
