Bio
Sheri Gallegos enters her third season as the Head Coach for San Diego Miramar College- Women's Water Polo program, in 2022. And lead the Jet’s to two prior
successful seasons, placing third at the PCAC Championships both in 2019 and 2021.
Sheri was awarded the Coach of Year award in 2019 from SD Miramar College and in 2021 she was honored with the Sandy Nitta Distinguished Coaching award, from USA Water Polo.
As a San Diego native, Sheri brings over 15 years of experience coaching and has played at the collegiate level
for Concordia University, Irvine. While at CUI, Sheri studied Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in education and coaching. She later attended American Public University, where she received a Bachelors in Business Management.
Prior to her arrival to Miramar College, Sheri was the Associate Head Coach for the Girl's Water Polo program at Helix Charter High School, since 2008. She
has also coached for San Diego State University's Women's Club Water Polo program in 2018, as the assistant coach. SDSU placed 1st in Conference and
continued their success through the Club National Championships.
Sheri strives for continual learning and growth. She continues her coaching education through her participation with the Olympic Development Program, where she has been the Head Coach for the PSW Cadet Team since 2019. And participates in various clinics throughout the country.
